Tobacco Colored Clothing

I can’t believe how nice and chilly it’s getting lately. Fall is one of my favorite seasons and fall fashion is definitely my most favorite! Normally I tend to go for bright colors but this year, I’ve been really inspired by all the tobacco colored clothing I have been seeing! My love affair started with the color this season as soon as I saw this Chloe blazer coat on Net-A-Porter! The color was so rich and so wearable and I’m really feeling those dusky desert vibes lately because it’s so easy to transition from summer to fall. I’ve included some links of clothing in the tobacco color scheme and images that inspired me. Please feel free to comment below on which ones are your favorite!

I have always been obsessed with the color red and usually use it to add a little color to my otherwise simple color palette. Whether in a shoe, bag or in my case, a scarf, I can always find a way to add that pop of red into my outfits. It seems to work with so many colors that it’s hard not to look at it as an essential color to have in your wardrobe. Here are some red looks that I have been obsessed with and I have included some links so you could start adding some red to your life. Feel free to comment below on which ones are your favorite!

Dress For Success

Hey Loves,

Lately with summer coming to a close and trying to be productive and clean out my closet to get ready for Fall, I have noticed that I’ve been gravitating towards wearing dresses a lot more recently. I have been reaching more for dress options over pants. That could partly be due to the weather and since it was so hot in NYC and Italy and I was traveling, a dress was so much more relaxing and it could also be due to the fact that there is so many more options regarding modest style dresses in fun colors and fabrics at different price points. My collection ranges from Diane Von Furstenberg to Equipment to Forever21 and H&M. So many brands have been inclusive when it comes to adding a sleeve or a longer length and I am here for it! Plus it’s really nice to be able to wear an outfit without so many layers especially in the warmer months. It feels so good to just throw on something that looks amazing and at the same time is a full outfit and the beauty about wearing dresses and in particular, maxi dresses is that you can dress it up and down by the accessories. Wearing a sexy silk slip dress with strappy flat sandals and a light cardigan or for a night out adding a heel and a leather jacket. I know hearing sexy and modest might baffle some, but you don’t have to look at wearing modest clothing as something that needs to be just traditional or unsexy. The way a fabric moves with your body or the definition of your waist. The way the colors and the prints command power and the confidence you have wearing clothing you feel comfortable in can be very sexy! Here are some Pinterest images that I have been obsessed with and some dresses that I was thinking of adding to my own collection! I have also included links to dresses  that I have in my own closet. Comment below to let me know which ones are some of your favorites!

Fashion Wishlist

So do any of you guys find an item online or while you’re shopping and all of a sudden, you feel that this specific item is going to go with everything?? I feel that on a daily basis especially since I try to justify it! Anytime I come across a special piece all of a sudden that Rihanna lyric, “Where have you been all my life” comes on in my head! Please tell me I’m not the only one that does this? I can’t help it my love for fashion is ingrained in me ever since I was young. Also, it’s in my blood because my grandmother has such amazing style and was an amazing seamstress (See how the justification begins..lol.) Anyways, I have always loved the quote, “Clothes don’t change the world, the women who wear them do” and I follow that mantra every time I pick out pieces that I want to invest in. My personal style is classic with a twist. Now sometimes that twist might be a standout color, a feminine frill or a touch of  bohemian. That all depends on my mood or the occasion! Here are some pieces that have been inspiring me and let me know which fashion piece you can not get enough of! I would love to hear from you guys!

Lots of Love,

Sahar

New Makeup Faves

So, anyone who knows me knows of my obsession with makeup and recently I came across some amazing products that I wanted to share with you guys! Some you may have heard of already because they’re cult favorites but there are also many whom I have just discovered and wanted to share with you guys because they have become staples and I am obsessed!

  1. The Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer is amazing for anyone who has combination skin that is somewhat sensitive. It blurs over your fine lines and leaves your skin looking poreless. Also, it helps your makeup last all day which is necessary considering it’s a primer and that’s what it supposed to do. Lastly, you get all this for under $35!!! No brainer, right??
  2. A staple that is always in my makeup routine is the Makeup Forever Foundation. I alternate between this and the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Lately, I have been reaching for this one more readily because it’s so easy to blend and I don’t need too much to blend it out. Just one light pump on my beauty blender and that’s enough for my whole face. Also, they have a wide range of shades.
  3. Now onto the eyes, which is one of my favorites! I always get asked what I use for my eyeliner and I have a two-step product process! Although two products might seem excessive, when combined, my eyeliner stays intact all day! I start off using a gel liner. The Maybelline gel eyeliner is one of my favorites and is a staple in my makeup bag. I start with a gel eyeliner because eyeliner is always a mission and with it being a gel, I can easily clean up any mistakes without having to worry too much. Then when I get the desired shape, I go over it with the Maybelline Line stiletto eyeliner. This just keeps it super dark and makes my eyes pop!
  4. For Lips, I was a little late to jump on the bandwagon, but I came across the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lipliner in Pillow Talk. The whole range is amazing and I will review more items from her collection in depth in a later post, but if you want to try one thing, try the Pillow Talk lipliner! It’s your lips but better and flatters all different skin tones! On days when I want a more natural look, I just put on the lipliner and fill in my lips and then just put on a chapstick and if I want more drama then fill it in and add the Clarins Lip Perfector in the nude shade! That gives it an instant glossy look and makes your lips look luscious!
  5. Finally the piece de resistance, the brows!! Anastasia, the brow guru herself has got your back, gurl with some amazing products. Anastasia Beverly Hills is a brand that I trust for my brows and I use their products on the daily. I use the Brow Definer and the Brow Wiz and I love how easy and fool proof it is. Your brows frame your face and always elevate your look regardless of how natural or bold you go!

These were just some of the makeup items I use in my everyday makeup look I love how versatile every makeup item is and the many different ways you can use these items to change up your look or even for a first time makeup user that just wants to get their kit started. This is a wonderful way to just have some key items and build your collection. Let me know what are some of your makeup must haves in the comments below!

Met Gala 2018

Last night was one of the biggest nights in fashion and omg they did not disappoint!!! The Met Gala theme this year was called Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. All I can say is wow! For those of you who don’t know what the Met Gala is, it’s an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. It marks the grand opening of the fashion exhibit and is held the first Monday in May. All in all, it’s a fabulous event and last night the fashion was amazing!! I love themed parties and it was interesting to see everyone step out of their comfort zones and find a way to incorporate their personal take on what this theme represented to them. From the jewels to the intricate details that went into every outfit, you could really see the artistry of each designer. I have listed some of my favorites below! Comment below to share some of your favorites!!

A Fresh Start

Hey everyone!! I’ve missed you guys! It has been so long since my last post so let me use this time to catch everyone up.

  1. I got married guys! My wedding was on February 17, 2018. It was so hectic leading up to it! I personally haven’t been to the that many weddings in my life and I am the first to get married in my own family, so I didn’t have any experience when it came to planning a wedding. Luckily, I had my friends and family along with my wonderful husband to help me get through it. If you guys are interested, I can definitely do a post on my experience and any tips and tricks that I learned along the way.
  2. So while I was planning this wedding, I was like planning a wedding isn’t enough I need to add another level of crazy to everything! So the hunt for an apartment began. If anyone has moved before or is in the process of moving then I am sure you can relate to what I have to say next. Did you guys ever think like, oh, I don’t really have that much stuff and then when you started packing you realize that it’s just boxes over boxes over boxes? I thought that I didn’t have that much stuff, but then the boxes kept filling up! Luckily, my parent’s place wasn’t too far from where our new place is so we got everything done fairly quickly. On the plus side, one of my favorite parts of moving into a new place is a fresh start and home decor, which is one of my passions! Pinterest has been such an amazing source of inspiration for me! Ps check out my Pinterest if you guys want any inspiration as well. I will definitely keep you guys posted on the apartment and any new pieces we add.
  3. Finally, on March 3rd, it was my birthday! I can’t believe it the big 29! A birthday is such an amazing time to reflect and 28 was such a year full of big changes between the wedding and work and a new home. I have been blessed and I am really grateful for all the experiences and people who have been a part of my life. I can’t wait to see what 29 will bring!

These were just some of the changes that happened in the last couple of months. I hope to be sharing more with you in the upcoming months. Thank you for your patience and understanding and I definitely have some more posts coming up for you! Let me know in the comments your thoughts and questions!

Lots of Love,

Orange Crush

When the weather gets hot, that’s also the time you can become extra experimental with your fashion. I love wearing bright colors and I have currently been lusting over orange pieces! Seeing it in the different fabrics and styles has made me want to incorporate some orange pieces into my wardrobe. When I think of the orange looks that I want to have, I think of more of a Grecian look maybe an orange maxi dress with some gold accessories especially with a summer tan or even an orange skirt with a nice crisp white top and strappy sandals! Also, if you’re still trying to venture into color and you don’t want to plunge into the deep end, you can just pair some orange accessories or do a subtle print. I have been finding inspiration everywhere and I’m going to share some of them and some links of some pieces that I am obsessing over so you guys can add some orange loving to your life. Let me know which looks are your favorite!

Cleopatra Cat Eyes

So with eye makeup being something that I am obsessed with, I am loving the cat eye looks that are popping up on the runways! Anyone who knows me knows that I always have a cat eye look. I feel like it’s such a wearable look, you can go from day to night! Also, you can change it up by doing a thin line or you can be extra dramatic and channel Cleopatra vibes (my favorite.. lol) Now I know what you’re thinking, a cat eye isn’t always the easiest to achieve. Some days that wing can cut bread and some days you’re contemplating why you even attempted, but it just takes practice! I love using the blackest black in a gel eyeliner because it’s just easier to work with and I use it with a mac angled eyeliner brush. I start off with a small amount and then build up once I get my desired shape. Then to make sure it stays secure and untouchable all day I go over it with a liquid liner to make sure it’s extra dark and dramatic! I also coat the lashes with my favorite mascara because I love that lashy look. Feel free to add falsies but during the day I just stick to mascara. Since I wear glasses I tend to put even more focus on my eyes so they don’t get lost in the shuffle but feel free to try different cat eye winged looks to find one that you’re most comfortable with! I have included some products that I use to achieve this look and also some images that inspired me! Let me know what cat eye looks are you going to try: demure or extra dramatic?
